Genshin Impact Guide: Jean Constellation Complete Guide

Genshin Impact Guide: Jean Constellation Complete Guide.

Not all 5-star characters in Genshin Impact are acquired by choice. Sometimes, players find themselves anxiously watching their screen glow yellow, hoping their wish will finally yield their desired character, only to end up with Qiqi. This scenario often repeats, leading players to accumulate Constellations for the standard banner 5-star characters: Jean, Qiqi, Diluc, Mona, Keqing, and Tighnari.

When it comes to Jean, her Constellations significantly enhance her utility, benefiting every team composition she joins. This leaves her fans questioning whether obtaining her Constellations is truly worth it in Genshin Impact.

Is Getting Jean Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact

Jean is already a strong asset in any team composition. To make her Constellations valuable, they must provide her with additional abilities. Fortunately, each of Jean's Constellations offers a new passive that amplifies her support capabilities. Because of this, acquiring Jean's Constellations in Genshin Impact is worthwhile, particularly up to C2.

C1 - Spiraling Tempest

  • Effect: Increases the pulling speed of Gale Blade after holding for more than 1s, and increases the DMG dealt by 40%.
  • Importance: Medium

Jean's Elemental Skill, Gale Blade, delivers a more powerful impact with her C1 constellation. This passive ability is quite advantageous, as Jean frequently uses her Elemental Skill due to its short cooldown. Additionally, it promotes the development of a Sub-DPS build for Jean, allowing her to hurl enemies effortlessly.

C2 - People's Aegis

  • Effect: When Jean picks up an Elemental Orb/Particle, all party members have their Movement SPD and ATK SPD increased by 15% for 15s.
  • Importance: Priority

One of Jean's most valuable Constellations in Genshin Impact is her C2. This Constellation significantly enhances the team's overall performance, particularly benefiting characters who rely heavily on their Normal attacks. The C2 passive ability remains active continuously because Jean's Elemental Skill has a shorter cooldown than the duration of the C2 effect.

C4 - Lands of Dandelion

  • Effect: Within the Field created by Dandelion Breeze, all opponents have their Anemo RES decreased by 40%.
  • Importance: Priority

Another impressive yet specialized constellation in Genshin Impact is C4 Jean. This ability allows Jean to reduce enemies' Anemo resistance by 40%, a significant decrease that enhances the damage potential of any Anemo character. This substantial reduction solidifies Jean's status as a top-tier support character for Anemo users in the game.

C6 - Lion's Fang, Fair Protector of Mondstadt

  • Effect: Incoming DMG is decreased by 35% within the Field created by Dandelion Breeze. Upon leaving the Dandelion Field, this effect lasts for 3 attacks or 10s.
  • Importance: Medium

It's always beneficial to have damage reduction in Genshin Impact. However, placing this ability on a C6 character instead of a highly impactful talent feels disappointing. Moreover, for the damage reduction passive to be effective, players must remain within C6 Jean's Dandelion Field. Given her exceptional healing abilities, the damage reduction seems redundant.
